A few people have asked me about our ferry to Greece from Italy. We went out via Anek lines Bari to Patras. We took the opportunity to camp on board, you park on the car deck, you get ehu and you can stay in your MH for the crossover. You get access to the rest of the ship and there are toilets and showers. The camping on board runs from March/April but ends at the end of October. Because we booked early I think we paid around €400 for our <8m motorhome, 2 people and a dog.
There are different ferry companies that operate between Italy and Greece with several different routes.
We came back from Patras to Ancona in a cabin as there was no camping on board option, this trip booked at the last minute was over €800.
There are discounts for return trips, oaps island hoping etc etc.
They speak great English, better than mine!!
