Motor homing with kids?

I'm just wondering how many of y'all go motorhoming with your kids?

Or is motorhoming more popular amongst those of us that have raised and fledged the kids before hitting the road?

We have two kids, a 12 yr old girl and a 14 yr old boy and they are still firmly with us wherever we go camping in our tent, but they generally hook up with other kids when we set camp.

Just wondering what is the general setting for the motorhomers here on MHcraic...

My kids are all up and gone they had 15 years in the touring caravans and now complain about the
"luxuries" in the MH that they didn't have in the old days in the caravans. We now have a 2 year old grand daughter and looks like we'll have company in the near future . :o

Ours are all grown up (one has a MH) but we get the grandkids from time to time, its one of the reason we wanted two traveling seat belts. We only take them if we dont have another option as the space in the motorhome is so much less than the caravan had and makes it not just as comfortable as when there are only two of us

We have two who've grown up flown well away from our nest, enjoying freedom of retirement loving the MH, never would have thought it was for us. Just shows what old age can bring along (arthritis, heart problems, high blood pressure) and then dementia when you forget the aforementioned,, but hey more time to plan when to recover from the next hangover or trip in the MH as its supposed to be called.

We camp with the kids about 60% of the time the older ones come and go depending where we go, the eldest even flew out to France to join up with us got a train to the nearest station rang me on the way to meet her :)

We have two boys 6 and 8 they seem to enjoy motor homing, provided the bikes or go kart are with us, and were not on a long drive !!!!. Always stay on campsites feels safer with the kids.

Hi
We have 2 boys, 6 & 8. We spend loads of time away in or van and they can't get enough of it.
We usually bring bikes, surfboards, bodyboards, kites etc.
We tramp around during wintertime and wrap up well. Usually hit France for summer.

If you & your missus are into the outdoors and have kids then go for it.

Denis
