Could anyone recommend a MH site close to Paris and on a train/metro line. 2 adults and 3 young lads heading out for rugby final....in spite of Ireland not featuring! Sailing from Dublin to Cherbourg, driving as close as possible to Paris and then hope to use public transport for the couple of days either side of final.
Thank you

I'm in https://www.sandaya.co.uk/our-…s-laffitte right now, been here since October 6th and was here for the weekend of the South Africa game too. It's the easiest site to get to from the Cherbourg side. Its a short walk to the train station and RER Line A which gets you into central Paris in less than 30 minutes on the train, you'll be fine for getting home after the game but there are some mid week works on the line making late trains a bit messy mid week.
The alternatives are in Versailles and Bois De Boulogne, the latter requires either 2 busses or a bus and metro to get to central Paris in about 30 minutes as well. Versailles is about 40 Minutes on RER Line C but has an indoor swimming pool.

When i was researching, staying near paris, I was recommended maisons lafitte camping. There seems to be a lot of irish campers staying there since the start of the rugby world cup on social media.
I ended staying in eurodisney so can't comment beyond this

Going to the NZ v ARG Semi on Friday night and ferry home on Sunday at 16:30. Trying to decide between travelling some of the way on Saturday or leaving the full journey until Sunday Morning. Any suggestions for a 1 night stopover between Paris and Cherbourg?
