Re chargeable fans

Last year in Spain it was hotter than normal for the time of year. So we ended up buying a few re chargeable fans that we can charge and run off our usb sockets. Great if you are not on hook up. Whilst certainly not as good air conditioning or even the roof vent fans the fact you can charge them whilst driving or on solar are great for off grid camping or even on a site with ehu. The ones I bought can run without electricity for 12/15 hours. Worth getting a couple in my opinion. Especially as it’s 33 degrees today. Too hot for me.

I have a battery or 12 volt fifteen inch fan, great job, they don't make them anymore but plenty of alternatives that are similar.

We use a 230v fan off the inverter,it doesn't use much battery power and of course the solar keeps battery topped up during the day, air con when we have EHU

on our recent trip in France the tempt hit 34deg so we got a tower fan running off 220v, it was only 35W we could run it off the inverter without any problems, but for the first couple of days, we went for a hook up just to be sure.

We have a couple of 230v 12" desk fans that run off the inverter when we are not on hook-up. They are only 30 watts each.
One thing to be aware of when running fans and other items with a motor is that they run quieter and more efficiently if the inverter is of the pure sine wave variety, that is, the supply quality is exactly the same as what comes from the grid.

For those of you with modified or quasi sine wave inverters just listen to the difference when the supply is from the grid.

I picked up one of these, only to discover another one buried in the bowels of the van

This is the latest one,it has a misting effect, it's operating voltage is 12V x 220V ,but I had a multi adapter for the Cig socket so it can work off the 12V no need for EHU or inverter.

The older one came with a 220V to usb-c. but it's operating voltage is 5V. so now it can be used from a wall mounted 5volt USEB socket.( USB to USB-C cables weren't readily available when I got it )

They both worked well with the van closed down for the night, comfortable enough to sleep, with the daytime Tempt, over 36 deg.
