For someone who has in the words of the song, by The Proclaimers - I'm Gonna Be (500 Miles) 4 times over.
The way to survive is to always, sleep in, a silk sleeping bag liner, perminated with a product called Permintin,
And when you come home, strip of on the doorstep and put all your gear and clothes in the freezer for 10 days.
