The Rory Gallagher International Tribute Festival is one of the most unique annual Music Festivals in Ireland, celebrating Ireland's best loved Rock 'n Blues Guitarist, the Late Rory Gallagher who was born in Ballyshannon. Over 12,000 people attended the 4-day event in 2012 on the June Bank Holiday Weekend.
The Festival is based primarily on Rock 'n Blues Music with Open Air Street Gigs, Nightly Big Top Concerts, Workshops, Exhibitions, Theatre Concerts and Pub sessions. Rory Gallagher International Tribute Festival won the Best Festival for visitor numbers between 10,000 and 30,000 at the 2010 & 2011 Irish Festival Awards.
