So travelling to NI post Brexit with a dog, what is needed? Just the dog passport? Not that I expect any checks. Also, is NI as dog friendly as the rest of the UK, local pub wise?

It is just as easy to get from Southern Ireland to Northern Ireland with a dog as it is to get from Northern Ireland to Southern Ireland with a dog.
Cannot see why there would be any difference, also dogs are treated with the same love here as anywhere else in the world.
Why not come and see for yourself.👍😋

What documentation is required by a dog making the border crossing inacompanied, if you know what I mean 😂🤣🤪, so why should documentation be required just because the owner is present too.

As far as a dog, other animals or wildlife, would be concerned it's just one big island.

That's the plan. My use of aires and public parking would be more restricted if the little rascal can't accompany us. Whether that is outside seating, restaurant bar etc., or inside pub. I think GB is more accessible for dogs in such establishments than ROI where it is hit and miss. I will find out soon where NI sits. :)

So we finished our week touring NI. It is at least as dog friendly as the south, if not more so. Super people friendly too. One night in Portstewart, a night in Portrush (handy aire), a night in Ballycastle, a night in Glenarrif Forrest park camping (great facilities). And finally a night in Bangor with a couple of wee hours in Belfast. We'll be back!
