There is a couple of small sites (aire type facility) too and wild camping is a possibility.
There is a place just south of the airfield at Sandown where motorhomes are always parked, have seen them quite a few times.
The island is a lovely place to visit.

I have done the Isle of Wight a few times and if you check out red funnel ferries they do a deal including campsite , we always opted for the closest which is Waverley park and then as we have bus passes which you can use over there we would travel the island on the bus. Both clubs have sites over there and a few 5 van sites also check out S for sites as they list a few stops. As Jon says it will be busy until Sept.
