The dose and don'ts

I was in the Glen of Aherlow, yesterday, and a blue Sprinter van conversion came in, he drove into a bay, reversed out did a 3 pointer and reversed into the bay.
All the time he was going backwards, he had a very annoying reversible alarm.
Q, Is it just me, or is that not a complete NO NO.

Chances are that it has been a commercial vehicle with that device fitted before the conversion.
They are bloody annoying.

Apologies I have one also built into the bulb. I'd rather have someone hear me reversing, than run into them. Old trait from HGV's & Mobile Cranes on building sites.

Years ago I worked for a company that had one fitted to a new lorry, this thing dint just bleep but screamed "WARNING this vehicle is reversing " followed by a two tone BLEEP Bleep. Needless to say after a few hours, I crawled under the rear and covered it in rags and gaffer tape.
