So I'm guessing that no one has stayed in Ikea.
I'm going to Dublin from Kerry to do the historical sites with the kids.
I've only got two days so camac valley doesn't suit because I'll only get one full day eve when staying 2 nights.
Not looking for anywhere scenic to park.
Any suggestions?

You can park in any of the car parks on Strand Road in Sandymount and use the bus or Dart to get around the sights.

You could try park in Redcow Luas carpark,Luas into city and then concider getting a City tour bus around the sight's, they stop at most of what you'd want to see and save miles of walking

You could park in Greystones, and use the Dart, it's a nice coastal run into the city.
Either way no matter where you park check into getting a leap visitor card, there is a reduced fare system for a 90min trip, for about €2 adult, that would get you from say, Greystones to the Nationa museum at Collins Barracks up at Huston station, using the Dart and luas,

My thinking on that is there is always security issues when you park in a location where there are no other like minded people parked at.

There were 5 vans parked in Greystones on Friday night, and the last time I was on the strand road there were 4 vans parked all EU reg.

A few years ago we parked in the Red Cow luas. We weren't staying overnight. We asked in the office and a chap directed us to an area where the public weren't allowed to park and said we would be safe there.

There are pubs out the N3 and N4 on the app that allow parking. I used the one on the N4 and got the bus into the city
