Did the battery take a proper charge?

That sound like a dead battery, have you any way of testing it with a meter to see what voltage it's reading, I'm presuming it's your engine battery, do you know what was on that ran it down in the first place, what was on while you were away,

If the battery is completly flat it wont take a charge it is a safety feature so connect your flat battery to a fully charged battery for twenty minutes this will put some power back into it and it will now take a charge

I killed my new 5mnts engine battery, with the fridge ( long story) , it was down to 5.9volts on the meter, no ignition lights or enough power to run the SatNav, but the breakdown guy jump started it, and left both connected for about 10min, I then drove it for for 2 hrs, after fixing the fridge problem, it came back fine.

Try doing the same.

Yes recharged battery and checked it was reading 13.9 so plenty of power but still no ignition lights or any power to the lights or radio ?

I’d measure the voltage from chassis to fuse box rather than on the battery terminals themselves. Possibly a bad connection at a battery pole

Darren is on the money.

You need to do a voltage drop check from battery +Ve to solenoid exit and -Ve voltage drop check from battery -Ve to engine ground & chassis ground.
Been there, done that…. If rodents have been in there it can be a nightmare. Ask me how I know 😂
