Just read an article on Sky News being left on Mount Everest by climbers. Maybe that was motorhomers too. Mind you at Portrush at the weekend I did see one van at Ramore head happily letting his grey waste run down the road to a grate and a queue forming at a single public toilet while another owner was emptying his cassette. Neither are the worst of motorhoming sins compared to some I have read about but enough to irk non motorhome owners who see it in broad daylight on a sunny bank holiday Monday.

Motorhomes are a fact of life, there are probably the best part of 20,000 on the roads of the island.
Apart from the provision of official Motorhome Parking Areas, councils need to provide Motorhome Service Areas to facilitate the environmentally responsible disposal of waste water etc..
For anyone away from home for more than a couple of days such a service is a necessity.
Currently, using storm drains for grey water disposal and public toilets for black water disposal are the only options available to those with respect for the environment, most of the time.
