And they will be getting more because the idiots that run this place are doing an excellent job in getting them support.

There is a way to send that link to every poli-tic, and council-licker, in the country and maybe some of the national papers?
With a heading of look what you Gobs****s are missing out of.

For ( teedee's) this is how,
<firstname>.<surname>@oireachtas.ie

And for your Councillor's Google
( contact local councillors email addresses) , and every City and County. Is availability..
So off you go.

To be fair though the height barrier construction sector is booming here.

Sorry about that I pressed like.

Waste of time, when Newry, Mourne and Down council were beginning to renege on the 6 bays I negotiated a few years back, I emailed every councillor, the ceo of council, the head of tourism at nm&d and MLAs of the area.

I set out the financial argument, I even gave a breakdown of my spend both in France and Ireland. We do about 100 nights each year, so the figure was many thousands of euros. I pointed out the reduction in anti social behaviour and other benefits from encouraging this style of tourism, even indicating that they could earn £10 per night from empty car parks with minimal investment.

I got 2 replies from the more than 50 emails. One positive councillor and one MLA leaning towards the negative. Not even an acknowledgement from the rest. The one positive councillor lost his seat last week.

Like Ally I have now stopped all attempts at improving the provision. We spend over 80 nights over two trips to France and Spain and the balance locally. Suits us. Better weather, good roads, great Aires etc etc.

Exactly how Liz and myself feel. We will be spending our euros in France and doing as little as possible here in Ireland and that saddens me. We certainly don’t want to go where we are not welcomed.

If they can’t get political points off something, these self serving so called politicians have no interest in what our needs and interests are, however if you’re non Irish, from war torn “wereever “, same self serving corrupt people will be falling over themselves to get emergency accommodation for all those individuals , and gloat in front whatever newspaper they contacted for the all important photo ,4,300 individuals in Sligo alone just since 2023 this is only May , just quoting Sligo ,thats a lot of bills to keep up with, they’re not going to spend any money on a few auld Motorhomers, not fair

Similar to causeway coast and glens where they are constantly erecting barriers to keep out people who pay taxes and want to overnight in the area in their motorhomes.
Yet two well known hotels in the area , York hotel in Portstewart and Magheraboy hotel Portrush are being strongly rumoured as upcoming accommodation for migrants.
The present situation is a bloody joke.
