In 2 weeks ago and stopped and talked to toilet cleaner lady, she’s says some of the ignorance she gets from Motorhomers still trying to empty cassettes into portaloos she was cleaning , every one of the 5 brand new portaloos has a big sign on it saying “ no emptying Motorhome cassettes in portaloos, but people still did even as she was cleaning them , shocking

Was in Stevies a couple of weeks ago and threw a few pounds into a collection box for Glenarm Community Association. I'm wondering would donations to that ensure the local community would benefit from our visits.

That's why putting the donation in one of our envelope, is worth while, so the community will know where its coming from. 👍

Completely agree on using the envelopes. My point really was would making the donation in the envelopes to the local community association generate more goodwill with the locals. I know from talking to the locals in Stevies that some are of the view that the only thing the majority of motorhomers leave in the village is s**t and litter (their words). Any time we're in Glenarm we visit Stevies the shop and often the tearoom up the street. Also the monthly market in the school if we're there when it's on but a lot of people never seem to leave their motorhome. I think we have to accept that a proportion of motorhomers don't add greatly to the economy of places they visit therefore we should use our envelopes to improve our image with locals.

I'm inclined to agree Billy. Maybe the local community association would be a benefactor worthwhile of our donations?
It would definitely assist our cause and foster better relations with the community.

And agreed also on the point on a sector of our community who's ignorance and downright arrogance and freeloading are causing real community relations issues. We need to counteract those at every opportunity.

Keep using our envelopes where possible, it can only assist our cause.
