the universe+ Big Bang

Hi, As we can talk about anything on this page here is one about the Universe.

Why is it called the "BIG BANG" theory as I was always told that you can not proudce a bang [sound] in The vacuum of space as there is no air [atmosphere] to transmit the sound!
It should be called the "BIG SILENCE"

I could never understand why it's called the Big Bang theory, it may be a funny program but it would better called 4geeks and a bimbo

Bit like if a tree falls down in the woods does it make a noise if there is no-one there to hear it. Well ok it's nothing like that but you know what I mean :)

The Big Silence, just doesn't have that ring to it.
