been drinking 'eau potable' from taps in France, Spain, Italy etc for over 20 years..even when kids were infants...no one has ever been ill. Its not early 1970's costa del sol...lol.....also save a lot of plastic waste
Unlike here Robert, you will often find in small towns/ villages drinking fountains, if the water is not fit for, human consumption, they will have a sign Non Potable, It is a good idea to bring sterile wipes to give the faucet a clean and run some trough before you use it, other user's are not always that fussy about what they stick up onto the outlet.
Never had a problem with tap water, but in recent years we have been using bottled water for drinking. However in todays France 24 news they state that "mass testing of drinking water revealed traces from a banned pesticide in half the samples, showing how potentially harmful chemicals persist in the environment"
