I'm thinking of going to visit the Nantes Elephant on my way to Spain in September, is it worth seeing or would you give it a miss ? I was looking at Camping Nantes but at €94 for two nights it's way out of my comfort zone. The Camping Car Park Aire beside it is not a lot better, with the compulsory purchases, which I'll probably never use again, it comes to €64.50 for two nights. Has anyone got up to date information on Belle Riviére Campsite and how easy is it to get from there to the city centre ? What about other Aires / campsites in the area with easy access to public transport.

Wouldn't worry too much for September Liam.
Tons of aires & parking within easy reach of Nantes if you're comfortable using them.

you are correct they are not expensive, you can get a card €5.you have to put credit on it min €10 ,rock up to a site, use your card, top it up as needed, about max €13 per night great

But if you want to use the booking system you have to join yearly fee €29.

So for two nights usage, in Nantes €29 + €5 + €12.60 + €12.60 = €29.60 per night, not so great,
obviously the more you use it the cheaper it becomes.

The prebooking Privilege Pack, which is for a year, is optional but useful if you need book ahead to ensure you get a pitch. The the card is a one time payment.
Excluding those the cost is very reasonable. We're booked in for three night for the Ireland Tonga game for a total cost of €42.30
