I'm about to book Rosslare - Cherbourg early September return Bilbao - Rosslare end of October. Is there still a MHC discount with Stena ? Do anyone have any discount codes for Britany Ferries ? I'm going to spend three or four days heading down the West coast of France and into Spain, has anyone used the ferry from ROYAN to LE VERDON at the mouth of The Dordogne to save driving through Bordeaux ?

Hop on the toll around Bordeaux, it makes it smooth and quite quick.

I used that ferry last year, beautiful drive through to Bordeaux, I think it cost about 56 euro each way. There is a very good Aire about halfway to Bordeaux at Hourtin Port, 12 euro per night, some nice restaurants by the lake. We liked the area so much we returned that way also.

Non toll road through Bordeaux isn't too difficult as long as you don't travel during rush hour, nice views of the port

The Autoroute around Bordeaux is toll free.
The D road hugging the eastern side of the Girond estuary from Royan to Bordeaux is a lovely drive with loads of interesting places and Aires. You could easily spend a whole week on it.

Thanks for the info lads. I've just booked, out to Cherbourg on the 8th September and back from Bilbao on the 2nd November. Between 10% AXA discount and my Stena extra points I got the outward leg for €373.20, happy out. :-) Return from Bilbao with Brittany Ferries a bit more expensive at €543. Flexi fare and inside cabin both ways.

How does one get the 15% discount ?
I normally use ferry savers.
£360 Rosslare- Fishguard in Sept with Stena.

There used to be a 15% event discount code for Stena Line. Does this still exist, or has it been stopped.

But if you have Tesco club card you can transfer the points to a Stena voucher. Each £1 of points becomes £2 in vouchers.
I used this last month and got £110 of my sailing price

Did you have to pay in full or just the deposit ?
