Newcastle festival of flight 2012

Hi. For the last two years we have parked our motorhome/camper on the seafront car park in Newcastle Co.Down without any problems.
My tip is park on Friday evening as the car park is closed by staff on the Saturday morning on the day of the airshow and the traffic is very heavy; with late arrivals searching the streets for a parking space!
The town is so handy with all sorts of shops a eating houses close by.
the air display is always good and long my it continue.
Dave.

Thanks Dave, Do you park in the carpark up beside Slieve Donard Hotel?

Festival of Flight 2013 - Newcastle - (3 August 2013 to 10 August 2013)

Now in its 4th year this successful event attracts over 80,000 visitors to Newcastle. Great location with an amazing airshow line-up as well as plenty of family entertainment throughout the day and it's all FREE

Perhaps we could arrange a Craicers meeting in Newcastle during the event.

Hi, Deirdre, Yes we parked close to the Slieve Donard.
We love Newcastle, nice people, the women have the nicest soft accent.
The shops are excellent and plenty to do for everyone during the Festival of flight.
The venue is very good for an Air Display and close to ards airfield for the war birds.
I am an aircraft nut as well as a Motorcaravanner! That is a good idea for a meet in the Percy French!

Dave

Sounds great, must agree i love Newcastle. Which would be the best weekend (the festival runs over the full week) should we go the first weekend or the second.

I had forgotten about this festival.
We are usually in France when it is on but might be able to get to it this year.

Well done Dave

Yes great weekend.
I got moved on last year from that carpark by council staff as did a lot of MHs.
we stayed in Bloody bridge carpark and had good view of the airshow.
went back to town on sat night when show had ended and had no probs
