I read the article with the misleading headline, thinking it would be good to have more motorhome parking but then saw the ratio of statics to MH pitches.
Call me a sceptic but I thought it was like adding Eco, Green, Carbon neutral etc to a planning application, highlight/headline what you think the council are favourable to and then put in what you really want.
Personally I’ve never been a fan of staying on campsites with a large proportion of statics as the residents of the statics tend to view the touring campers almost as intruders.
It's not the first such application. Have a look around THIS APPLICATION for the Kilmore Quay Holiday Park which is listed as for a Motor Home Park To Cater For 26 No. Motor Homes.
The site drawings show each pitch with its own foul sewer, fresh water, and electrical connection plus 19 car parking bays. Not to mention the Central Services Building.
A Motorhome Park me arse, more like a trojan horse for a static Mobile Home Park
