Hard Post to Submit

Around about this time of year I'd usually start prepping for the season. A full service, then book the CVRT (passed first time for the last three years). Next would be a full wash-down and polish, finally prep the interior and check all is as it should be.
It saddens me to say that there will be no more MH seasons for us.
My wife's metastatic bone cancer has begun to spread and travelling in our beloved Rimor will no longer be possible.
Our adventure through France to Switzerland last year was actually her bucket-list adventure.
I'm posting this on the Forum in case anyone out there knows of a potential buyer for a 2004 Rimor Europeo NG/10. We've lovingly owned it since 2007 and it's been well taken care of since then. I can obviously supply pics and full details of the MH, not only mechanical but also a list of the additional mods (solar panel, sat tv, twin batteries etc).
I've honestly no idea what price to ask, the thought of selling through Done Deal etc doesn't appeal. I'd much prefer to see it go at a fair price to an MH Craic member or 'friend of'.
Thanks for taking the time to read this, I really can't believe I'm actually typing it. Our MH meant everything to us, hopefully something will come of my post. Either way, thanks MH Craic for a good few years of....Craic!

Tony - sorry to hear that your travelling is coming to an end due to your wife's illness. Can't help you with the price but good to know that at least you had some great travelling in it. Take care - Rory

Tony this sure is one difficult post to reply to ,it is good to see that the two of you enjoyed many happy travels in your motorhome and it is also encouraging to see that your wish now is for someone else to enjoy the same.
May you and your wife now enjoy many more adventures although at a slower pace.

Tony, what can we say :(

So sorry to hear this, will your wifes treatment keep it at bay? you dont have to answer that if you dont wish too.

We may be in the market for a van but not quite yet.

Tony, Norman said "one difficult post to reply to" and he is correct, most people will read it and think what can I say that may give you some help and encouragement to deal with, what you, and especially your good wife, have to go trough, our thoughts go with you both.
Your Title says it all " Hard Post to Submit". I'm sure you sat for quite a while before you hit submit, I'm glad you did,we will all be thinking of you, don't be a stranger, keep in touch if you think there is anything we can do for you, pop in every so often, and feel free to trow in a few irrelevant comments, every now and again.

Heartfelt thanks for the kind and supportive replies, I can't tell you how much they're appreciated by both of us.
Regarding the Rimor, I'll be home for a few hours in the next day or two so I'll take exterior/interior pics and list all relevant info.
Ally, perhaps you can advise on how to forward the above to any interested Craicers....can I post my email address for example, or maybe my phone number for Whatsapp contact?
I'm not on FB or any other social media btw.

Tony, have a look at this post, forum/topic.php?t=24493
Its a well laid out, with all the information you would like to see, the only thing I would add, if you have the where with all, is a Video walkaround, especially showing any defects. It helps to cut down the amount of questions.

Finally time to say goodbye.
I took the plunge a couple of weeks ago, advertised the Rimor on Done Deal. I wasn't sure what response to expect, but nothing could have prepared me for the avalanche of calls.
I finally sold to a really sound couple from Dublin, they reminded me exactly of how we were fifteen years ago, excited but a little nervous!
Mixed emotions as I watched our treasured second home drive away, but it had to be done.
So thanks to you all for the laughs, moans, advice and tips over the last few years,
and of course more recently the kind words of support and condolences.
Happy camping, stay safe and take care.
Tony
