Fiat 60 ltr fuel tank

I was surprised when I bought my MH how small the fuel tank was. I have since found out the tank is 90 ltrs but it’s been artificially reduced to 60 ltrs. There is a way to re instate the full capacity see the link below but the fuel gauge will not be accurate. I’ve got used to the small tank now but if others have the restricted tank and want more capacity then the link shows how to do so.

It was probably done to help reduce weight

That’s the consensus of opinion.
It does mean less time between fill ups I was filling up every travelling day in Spain and Portugal during my last trip. I only filled up twice in Portugal and tried to fill up more in Spain as it was noticeable cheaper.
