Stayed here Saturday night after Bertie gave us the information on it.

Fantastic spot with some amazing scenery, toilets there but were closed, maybe open in the summer?
Best to head to it from Ballycastle direction as if you come from Balintoy it is a very tight turn as the road goes back on itself. Narrow road but big enough for a Motorhome, entrance tight but I got through it and out of it again no problem (7.28Metres)

Looks FAB but I'm sure it could be crowded in the summer. Will give it a try sometime.

I was there during the summer, not staying overnight mind, and there were only a couple of cars. It was a lovely walk down to the castle but holy feck it's a long climb back up. We hadn't any coats with us and got a bit damp when it started to rain and we were half way back up. I thought I needed oxygen by the time I got to the top again.

A small meet up but not a full blown Craic meet - think that might be frowned upon :) - I can see the headlines in local paper:

Quote
Motorhomes descend on Kinbane Head!

Guitar & Banjo wielding motorhome owners play music and drink through the night. Neighbouring house owners have complained about the "woop" "woop's" and the "YEEE HAAA's" coming form the white boxes on the hill.
This beautiful scenic spot was the central area for the meeting of members from the website known simply as "Motorhome Craic", some locals are concerned what reference does "Craic" have and are worried about finding needles in their local beauty spot.
One local woman demanded to know "what drugs are they taking?" and another enquired "where do they pee?!"
Local sheep have been seen running in circles with concerned look's on their faces and the cows are complaining of acts of cow tipping.
A spokesman from Motorhome Craic was interviewed but had very little to say other than, "what a night!"

I'll get my coat.....
