So the tax man has come back with the VRT figure for the van.

9k so not bad could have been a lot worse, was also hoping it could have been better.

So the taxman has valued your motorhome at about €66,500, how do you feel about that.

So the taxman has valued your motorhome at about €66,500, how do you feel about that.

That valuation is straight out of the EU price book.

It’s brand new Van

As to how I feel about the price they values it at I’m delighted as the higher they value it the more I pay so the lower the better.

All in including travel, bringing it back ferries, VRT etc worked out about 70k

Don’t think I would get a new Van at that price here. And if doing it now Dicar are selling the van for 75.

Overall we are delighted to have it and looking forward to many trips away in it

A friend of mine is currently appealing his VRT which was based on an OMSP in line with the price of an equivalent new mh, the one he imported is a used 4 year old one. He recons the VRT was between €2k and €2.5k over the mark.
