Suggestions welcome as to how i can make the air intake for the diesel heater water proof or at least to stop it sucking water if being used whilst the mh is moving and it was raining,
My air intake sits about 6 foot behind the driver wheel and directly getting spray,

I bet some craicer has a simple solution that I have not thought of

can you tuck it into a hole in the chassis, or above the exhaust ,or driveshaft, they are normally in a fairly clean position.

I'm toying with that idea Martin but the spray that is generated whilst driving in the rain is what is worrying me, If the heater sucks in water its not going to be good,

But one of these bike air filters on the end, and place it beside the exhaust so the air will be heated which will help the heating system as well,.

When on the road why not get free heat from the engine. My mh has a second heater rad and fan in parallel with the dash heater. It's in a seat base in the habitation area and can keep that area real toasty while driving.
I'm not aware of any kit for the above on the market but the necessary components should be readily available at a vehicle dismantlers.

Have fitted a couple of these. Comes with heater matrix/motor/resistor, 3 speed switch, 2x 16mm tees, temp valve and 16mm heater hose as required per/metre.

Full system for self install is £365 sterling.
You need to add 16mm water hose to this @ £8.50 per metre and also the necessary 6mm wire & fuse.
We keep a full kit in stock.
