I'm sure there are 5 star reviews as well to be fair. Near me there are quite a few Dethleffs, including a '95 one still going well. They have a reputation for being solid build, a bit boring, but solid.

I had an Allegro ,got alot of water ingress on the sides where the floor meets the walls, the water lodges behind the side skirts and can't go anywhere,a silent killer, lost a fortune over it , the fiat 2.8 engine was great ,we have a Dethleffs over 6 yrs now, the longest we've ever kept a van by far and love it

With them All, damp test, once, twice then once more.

Check history and habitation checks.

@ROBANDSUE.
Its worth while looking in Europe.
The German site. Mobile.de /English.
Have 275 partly Integrated (B+) in the price range up tp €35k.
In France, Jacqueline, alone, have 15 within a couple of hours from Cherbourg.
add 20% to give you an idea, of your landed cost here.

@ROBANDSUE
I put this link together for a friend of ours recently. It might help or drive you mad. 🤔😁
France. Occasion ( is second hand ).
Vendu ( is sold )
Fourgon = ( campervan ) Width 2.05mtr
Capicune = ( B class, over cab bed ). width 2.34mtr
Profile= ( B class low profile. ) width 2.3 mtr
Integril = ( a class with rear bed and front drop down bed ) 2.34mtr

https://www.annonces-caravanin…g-car.html
( like DoneDeal includes private and dealer sales, can be a pain because they don't always take down the ones that are sold ( Vendu which is a pain in the butt )
This is where I got our one from the Lannion Concession
Btretagne camping cars. they have 5 different local locations.

CAMPING CAR HORIZON CAEN

Jacqueline camping car sales they also have 5 locations.there is one just outside Cherbourg.

She was very helpful and speaks good English. our pal John got his M/H from her.
The German site.
https://www.mobile.de/
Van = campervan.
Alcove = B class over cab bed .

A few things to consider🤔
To collect the M/H one way car hire from the ferry, for 4 hours + excess km, cost me about 280€. ( some of that would have covered someone to come with me to return the car, the bonus would have been double the wine allowance 😊)
Another one I looked at from a private sale, I could have flown return, got a train, stayed overnight, had an afternoon and morning to check it out
All for €188.
Look at the cost of a mini break to check out a M/H, in the scheme of what you intend to spend, could be well worth it.

Google chrome will translate any website if it doesn't have the option.
