Having read the article, it seems she bought a cheap van, jumped in and drove off into the sunset thinking everything would be rosy.
Then realised that she should have researched first, saved for a decent van with full facilities, planned an income stream of some sort, and (most importantly) talked to real people who were living 'van life' instead of watching the FB and TikTok fantasy fools!

People like that are destined to fail in an endeavour like full timing.

Lifestyles like that takes a sort of mentality that that lady never possessed, a skill set that she would never have had or ever likely to get.

An ego boosted by social media and a belief way beyond her abilities.

Yep, jumped in feet first with her eyes closed expecting everything to be rosy when she opened them. As you said, she should have researched and talked to people first. I find it hard to believe that not everything on (anti) social media is true. :-/ :P

In the vid she shows where she actually " researched " the lifestyle. However there was no closeup to indicate the quality of the work. I admire her in a way. A person of colour setting off on their own in America deserves some attaboys.

I think she's just succeeded at what she intended.

Her campaign was to purposely fail and raise her profile by not succeeding.

If she had of made it work she would be one of many of thousands that think we give a damn about their #vanlife

Be interesting to see how much she has made from ads, and how much she creates from that gofundme.

One of her videos shows her pumping up a mattress. You can see in the background that it is a bare van. What does she expect?
