Something for the weekend ! … Saturday 22nd October

Short notice, but only put together last night.

Open day at Finn Valley Flying Club for one of our members running the Dublin Marathon for charity.
The clubhouse & bar is open Saturday night with some food around 9pm & will run until 1am.
Pleasure flights in club aircraft on Saturday afternoon.
If any of you would like to come along you can use the aire at my place and then parking at the airfield apron after 5:30pm when the public departs. You are welcome to arrive Thursday/Friday if you wish & stay the weekend.

Stay at Convoy CL (mine) and over to the club either by car or you can park there after 5(ish) on Saturday evening.

Definitely will do a meet next year at the club. With good weather and aeroplanes flying of course.

Thanks Richard for everything yesterday, there all day helping out. Weather was deplorable, rained all day but the coffee day and the bar at night had a good turnout.

And we managed to raise €1650 to go to Barry Chambers running the Dublin marathon in memory of his late mum and all money going to LUH oncology unit and to Dr Gerry Lane who travels with the air ambulance and was instrumental recently here in Donegal at the Creesolough explosion.

Total will exceed €6000 with all the fundraising.
