This was our last stop before we had to come home ,another gem ,the Aire is fantastic €11 for the night extra for hook up €3 for showers dogs welcome but must be Kept on a lead in the park a great little town full of history the enemy and I were reading a wall plaque when a man started talking to us we got a great insite into the towns as the river is the border between co Carlow and co Kilkenny so we parked in Kilkenny and drank in Carlow 😂 there is a lovely little cafe in the Kilkenny side the daisy Chain the bloke who owns it is also a mine of information plus it’s also a shop ,those who love history it’s a must visit the monastery is also a must see 10/10 from us

Just spent a peaceful weekend here with only the sound of the weir, good few on Saturday night but still lots of spaces, it is fully booked next weekend (new BH ) and St. Patrick's and Easter will be busy too. They have a very good booking online system.

We are always impressed and visit several times a year, and there is always something new that has been developed.
The areas known and Green and Limetree have been scraped and levelled, mesh been added, clay at moment until grass grows (but we were parked on it as it has EHU). The wifi signal was excellent.
Talked to staff and interesting plans over next few months, extra EHU and water points and working on area cut into slope to the right of the building, up steps, to what will be a decked area.

We paid €17 per night with EHU.
It would be great if there were more places like this in Ireland.

They do allow some tents during the summer for people who are traveling down the river in canoe's but no family tent's or caravans allowed, there is a campsite close by

I see more MHs than numbered pitches.
Is the marquee tent by the weir section not there this week or hidden behind a tree?
Maybe they are going to put more pitches there as I can see the raised flat area cut into slope to the right of building which will be a new decked area.

Great place for a night or two. Always very busy with a high turnover of MHs. Covered 'stage' area was there last week so I'd say just hidden by the tree.
