Just a reminder to those riding a scooter in France. Check up on essential equipment when riding. You must have, a yellow jacket, there is no mention of wearing but need to be able to produce it. 4 pieces of reflective tape on your helmet, front, back and both sides. Insurance or green card that proves you can ride in France. When riding both the pilot and passenger must wear gloves.

Just saying, as a French Police Officer on a motorbike relieved me of €45 for not wearing gloves when we nipped to the bakery in town and forgot to wear them. He didnt fine the Missus, dont know if he was scared to say to her or just let her off. All the money saved on diesel gone

Yes I looked it up and it is required. We had bought the open face helmets in France and there are 4 reflective bits on them
