1997 Kon-Tiki Fuse location for 12V power to Fridge

Hi Folks,

I've recently purchased a 1997 Swift Kon-Tiki and have found that the Fridge 12 V supply (Red power switch) doesn't work when the engine is running. I've located a wiring diagram and found the power comes from the vehicle battery, through a relay and a 15A fuse through a red/yellow cable to the fridge. I 've found the relay and red/yellow cable under the bonnet but don't know where the fuse is, can anyone help?

Cheers,
Rich

Have you pinned out the switch?
Not uncommon for the little bulb to pop in the switch.
If you have 12+ volts at the switch when engine is running then it’s OK, if not then the fuse is up behind the battery in the engine bay. Usually a bank of 2 fuses. Also, the relay on those is not a VSR and can become faulty, they simply use the polarity from the alternator to activate…..so worth a check.
If you have voltage at the switch and pop in an ammeter in series you should get about 8 to 10 amps initially, then dropping off to about 5 amps when the element heats. If nothing detected you have a faulty element or an open circuit at the fridge.

Sorry for not updating this sooner, but just to close this out, I found the fuse by the engine bay battery to be blown, along with a corroded feed from the alternator to the relays. Once repaired it works great.

Thanks for your help.
