Does anyone have anything to say about the regulators which automatically switch from an empty bottle to the full one ? I'm having a set fitted but don't know if they're the real thing or not.

Iver heard people say its a little dodgy because you don't know when you're going to be empty. At least when one bottle runs out you know you need to replace it, if it automatically swaps over you might end up with two empty bottles in the middle of nowhere without realising you were low.
Auto changeovers are fine with both bottles open, only if you check the green / red indicator on a regulator basis, but you will only get caught out once. After that you'll keep one closed, like the rest of us.
Too comfortable.
Knowing your average gas consumption, depending on the insulation of the camper and the temperatures, an 11Kg cylinder lasts from three to four days, you just need to check once every two.
Murphy teaches:
the gas ends preferably at three in the morning and under either a snowstorm or pouring rain.
If this has never happened to you, you have never been to the Alps or to Northern Germany in winter.
Anyway Viva diesel heating, be it Webasto, Eberspaecher or Truma D.

Max
Plus one to that.
I used a full 13kg (Totalgaz) cylinder in four days doing the Christmas Markets in the Alsace a few years ago, it was freeeezing outside even by day
Mine has 3 settings each bottle or both on ie when one is empty it switches to the other but I prepare to use it with one bottle switched of then I know when to fill the empty one up ,what happened to me was I had it on the both bottles so they were both empty befor we knew it and were stuck with nowhere to fill them stick to switching them over you then know when to look for gas and still have some in the tank
