Yeah. We have one of the rechargeable Dysons which lasts for 6 minutes. The great thing about them is the fact that you get full suction for the whole time and then it stops. No loss of suction at all.

I read somewhere that the newer ones run for over double the time of ours. I think they are improving the battery power all the time. The newer it is the longer it runs for.

Thanks guys.

I just noticed this on the first one:

"This requires an adult to sign upon delivery"

The mind boggles.

Ally I've been looking into this and there's a test in Practical Motorhome Mag Sept 2011 comparing a number of cleaners including the Dyson. In tha test the Black & Decker DustBuster Flexi at £80 comes out on top. I've got the Mag and when I get home over the week end ill see if I can email you a PDF file of it.

I got one of these, which is 12volt and is powered by the cigarette lighter

http://www.halfords.ie/webapp/…12473#tab1

A handy yoke, packs away very small in a bag. but only for light cleaning. I only paid €40 in currys for it.
Hopefully it will be handy when away for extended breaks, but dont use it at home to clean van, as the suction is not great!

Jag147 a brush and shovel from poundland is too much like work. Also when one does not do a good enough job to please the wife they can always blame the suction on the hoover. Get it?

No probs Ally would have given you the Mag but there's a test on the Adria A Class in it.
