Has anyone changed the end cap on a Fiamma Awning. The one that is facing forward had degraded and split with bits missing out of it. It is 5.5m and I dont relish taking the whole thing off to replace it. I've it covered in tape at the minute.

I’ve taken an F45 (4.5 meters?) off by myself, there’s a good bit of weight in them.
Having a person at each end would make it easy enough if you do have to take it down to work on.

I fitted it myself 18 years ago and I know how much sikaflex I put on everything when I fitted it. It is well and truly stuck and bolted to the van. I bought it in England and brought it back inside the van. You should have seen the sport trying to get it in and out.

I remember fitting my Fiamma awning years ago. I took great care to measure the exact distance from the roof edge all the way along to keep it perfectky parallel.
Then I stepped back to admire my work, only to realise that the roof line sloped slightly and the awning, being so feckin perfectly parallel, sloped as well.
Luckily the re- drilled holes didn't show afterwards . 🙄

Thanks but I am in France now. I left it a bit late to get before I left so will get it sorted when I get back. Its well taped up, it has just disintegrated over the years with the sun
