Shower Tray

Hi all, we have a 2007 Toskana 670 which we love dearly, bought from new. The big problem is the shower tray which is cracked and broken. We had it replaced under warranty, but it cracked again - obviously a design fault. Could anyone recommend a speedcoat or something similar dealer on these shores?

You possibly need to reinforce under the tray first to stop it happening again

Am going to fix one for a friend who’s tray cracked to much bounce in it so he’s going to put some expanding foam under it to stiffen it up then I’m going to glass and gel it for him

Is there no possibility of the expanding foam raising up, and distorting the middle of the tray ? I have considered doing it in my shower because its quite soft, under foot. let us know how it goes after its done,

I think all the Pilote showet trays are the same, spongey, my pal's 04 galaxy is the same, it would give you the Willie's standing on it. You would think you're going to go trough.

No Martin it will not raise the centre of the tray ,but it will reinforce the movement within the tray.

Yea! but, how do you know that, :'( what is really relevant is, if anyone knows if, that is the way they are suppose to be, in a 2004 and a 2009 they shower tray is spongy, and so maybe that is not a problem, If it ain't broke don't try to fix it, but it just doesn't seem right, I can guarantee you Norman ( not saying anything here ) O-) but if you stepped into it you would say, oh-ho there is something amiss here. :-/

A while ago I came across a person/company who do bespoke shower trays among other things in fibreglass. I saved the phone number in my contacts list under shower tray but not the location or name.
The number was 0876850093. I don't know if they are even still in business but it might be worth dialling the number.

It won't as long as the shower tray has weight on top of it so the foam cannot expand further than where it is meant to be. If its the way it is meant to be, although doubtful, it seems it will break at sometime. Sounds like not enough support under it, supporting it won't break it.
