Flush Flush Flush!

Hi all/anyone! I was away at the weekend but staying in a hotel for the first few nights and when I went to the van and turned on e-control I noticed running water and ...more running water. All taps were off so I noticed toilet constantly flushing. 'Turned off control system and checked outside and noticed one of the wires to the wee black cylinder beside the power light loose/ ready to fall off. It did when I touched it and the other wasn't far behind it. I googled and pushed the panel in from the outside and made an effort to connect these 2 cables but to no avail. I know they are up out of the way above the cassette but they are right proud and vulnerable out of the wee black cylinder. I presume9 Knowing no more) that this is a power connection as the wee red light is nearby. Initially i had thought the flush switch was over-pressed with e-control off but with panel stripped flush button functions fine. So my Qs are...is this wee black unit with wires broken the source of the fault? Will this wee black cylinder be on the new panel I purchase(available from Leisureshopdirect in Uk) or should I contact my techie? I'll try to add pics to illustrate! Any ideas/nuggets of wisdom are welcome. Thanks in advance[img][/img]

That little black thing may be the magnet switch to tell you the cassette is full, could have been broken a long time have you ever seen the warning light on to tell you that the cassette needed to be emptied, the continuing to flush is probably the solenoid valve is stuck open or simply not working. see if you can get the photo up.

That's the guts of the panel, the ''Tank Full'' light is in front of the green plug and my problem, I hope, is wires from the wee black cylinder broke off. I found a replacement unit on www in UK but parts don't match so my contact is checking this with Thetford. I also found 2 at the other side of the world and am waiting for a price on postage etc. The unit has 4 parts which includes cables, flush button, inner panel and outer control panel. The joys of motoring!!

Itls a Thetford C-200 s. I'd say I'm sorted with the sources I have for parts so I'll buy I extra as a spare. The van being 05 I can't be doing with the nuisance of this again but sure small worries really...Slava Ukraini!!

Flush update FYI!

Just an update. When I contacted MH dealers in RoI I was informed by a dealer who is a Thetford outlet that the part(s) I needed could not be bought in isolation and she couldn't get them anyway due to covid/Brexit. I found a source in Uk (leisureshopdirect) and 2 in Australia(ebay) that stocked the full flush switch. I purchased from UK successfully for c.€120 all in but soon afterwards realised that the part I reckoned I needed WAS available on its own from UK sources also (ebay also at Hilbre Outdoors). It dawned on me that the part in question was the cassette level indicator which has a wee bulb on it. Anyone I contacted told me that the age of the cassette was a factor so I decided to buy the single part (£9 on ebay) also and work with that first. If it worked I knew I had a full unit as backup in the event of damage/failure in the future. The single part worked i.e. it was the level indicator switch and although expensive I have the full unit as a reserve. It's peace of mind and I'm sure, with the way things are going with prices of motorhomes, might be able to recover this little expense in the event of selling the campervan. Sale of the campervan is unlikely though because a daughter we included in the insurance after purchase is getting as much use out of the machine as we are. One comment I overheard some time ago was that she is like a mouse looking out through a fish bowl in it!!! She's some driver though and...''The best way to mind it is to use it''!!!
