Any Dethleff owners out there ? Just bought a Dethleff Advantage - pre-owned as they say !
Only gripe is that the leisure battery is a small yoke under the driver's seat. In another Dethleff I looked at there were two linked in series in an underfloor compartment.
Just wondering if it's possible to get an improved set up or am I stuck with what I've bought ?

You can add as many as you want if you have the space.

I have 2 X 100ah batteries fitted under the seat of my Dethleff Advantage,it looks like a second one won't fit but it does ,if the battery you have is new just get a second one of the exact spec , otherwise you must fit 2 new batteries

A lot of the craicers are moving to Lithium, more power for size and lighter although a bit more expensive. Worth while researching before you buy.

YOu caan of course upgrade. You do however, need to see what the capacity of your charging set up can handle, such as the solar charger and any split charge or EHU charging capacity that exissts. Lithium is an option but they are a very expensive and are only of real value if you plan to spend a lot of time off grid. I have 240 Amp Hr worth of AGM and that can manage totally off grid for 4 or 5 days and that is with a 240v fridge running from inverter (I do have 320W of solar though).

I can also confirm you can fit two Varta 95 Ah batteries under the front seat. However make sure you fit batteries that are maintenance free and will never require a water top up as it's quite a job to remove the seat to get access to the batteries tucked under.
