Go Fuels

8th April, tried to get diesel at Liscooley fuel station Donegal, the pump continually said "Contacting card issuer", I eventually gave up and moved on and got it somewhere else. Since then €100 has been pending on my account. (pre authorisation amount)

Around and around in circles we go, bank can't do anything as its pending, Go Fuel Station refuse to do anything and say they can't. They advise to speak to Visa who also say they cant do anything as they didn't issue the card.

After many phone calls its still pending.

Moral of the story, avoid Go Petrol stations. :-|

Pay at pump? In many places, regardless of the fuel company, these hold a preauthorisation charge for a number of days. I avoid using pay at pump unless the place is very busy or unmanned at the time. The charge will be released but it's a pain in the hole.
