Breakdown Insurance over 8mL and 7 ton?? in ROI

Has anyone on here managed to find breakdown insurance for a motorhome over 8metres and 7 tons??
These are the limits of Dolmen's cover.
After an exhaustive search I have failed to find any company offering cover.
Any RV owners out there or large Class owners with information, it would be greatly appreciated.
I would happily pay for a stand alone policy, or any viable option.
I am talking about a vehicle registered and owned in southern Ireland. The northern cousins seem to have lots of options!

Thanks

As discussed elsewhere I’ll speak to the guy with the big truck 2 bays down from me on a campsite in Spain, I haven’t seen him all day and don’t want to be braying on his door in case he’s “busy” !

Well I just had a chat and tho his vehicle is huge it is plated to 5.5 tons, his suggestion was truck insurance but that could be costly.
But if you have a well maintained vehicle you may not need them but keep a phone number of a recovery company in you phone.
Sorry I can’t be of any help

I've used Stuarts insurance, Dublin based, for our RV's, it includes EU breakdown. I once had to use it on the way to Rosslare with fuel problems, the RVwas 9 ton and 9m long, they were very courteous and had a mechanic on the way, but I managed to sort it myself, so kept in touch with him and , only just, made the boat. Very stressful, but good to know I had backup.

Brian,
thanks very much for taking the time to check that out for me.
I have tried the truck guys previously without any luck, but I'll have one more go at it!
Enjoy the rest of your holiday.

Thanks Paul.
I have had a quote from Stuarts .
Their breakdown cover is limited to €500 Repatriation for any one claim, and a 125€ excess applies, that means 375.
They have a limit of 31 days European cover in any one period of insurance....(i.e. per year). That is a big limitation.
But it is a definite plus that they don't specify any weight or length limit. I'll explore further.

If you ring Stewart's they will extend the 31 days, I got an extra 6 days at no extra cost

Then phone them and tell them you have broken down, and are orginising to have it fixed yourself, so as not inconvenience them, it could take a couple of weeks to have the parts sourced, so would the mind terrible, extending the cover period, in case it can't be fixed. 😜
