Ducato fuel filler locking cap

Hi all, GeorgeB here, just joined. I'm trying (unsuccessfully) to get a locking fuel cap for my 2002 Knaus sun traveller on a Fiat ducato 2.8 jtd. Anyone any ideas?. I could get one online but I'm not sure of the horsepower of the jtd. Any help welcomed. Thanks. George.

it's 127HP. but I don't understand what has to do with a fuel cap, give the vin number to any Fiat /Ducato agent and he should be able to order one. using the number you should be able to get one on line. the Vin number could be on the door Jam or on the wheel arch towards the front,or behind a plastic cover on the drivers seat base .

In my mind April Fools day ended at midday and I was born on this day so I should know! But as you say it’s a strange question. I mean a Fiat filler cap is a Fiat filler cap surely!

Thanks for the feedback. Not an April fools. I can't get one in any motor factors I've tried so I'm trying online. Most sites have them from 94 to 02,as my van is early 02 I have tried to narrow it down a bit, one site gave a choice of two depending on the hp. But I'd rather just buy one if anyone knows where. I'm in Dublin 22. Thanks

The HP dosent make a lot of difference as the same cap fits,

Do you imagine Fiat putting a different cap on a 2.3jtd as apposed to a 2.8jtd.

The Citroen Relay and Peugeot Boxer should be the same aswell

George I have in the past rang the company and asked if I purchased two could I send one back. OK its a bit of expense sending back but I got the right part.
