I know many of you will have this bit of kit but as there are more people getting into MHs now I thought I would share the photo.
Quite often I get a person telling me my ehu is not working, a quick test shows the socket is working. Using the same device I can check their lead. If their lead is ok then the problem is in their van.

In thirty-five years of motorhomes (plus four caravanning) in my toolbox I have only had something like: https://www.dsshop24.com/en/sc…00v-blade- fixed-140mm.html

Never used.

For me the device I use is very useful. When a van only can’t get electric in the van the majority blame the supply, I can show them it’s not my supply. I can test their lead with a very visual display and let them see if their lead is good or not. Finally the plug bit is useful for testing sockets in the van.
And whilst it takes up more room than your phase finder it’s not too bulky.

The good thing about that it eliminates all right up to the van itself & leaves the user in no doubt where the problem lies….. and definitely a good item to have…. And in your case as a site owner it proves the point when the case arises…. Which no doubt is quite often.

I have one and put it in one of the sockets in the van ever time we use an ehu to check if the polarity is right, you'd be surprised how many time you can get reversed polarity perticulary in Europe. The unit also lets you know if there is no earth present.

I've carried one of those for years. I always test when I hook up and carry a short lead wired differently that I add online so I can change the polarity if needed. I know some people say it doesn't matter about polarity but I like to be sure to be sure. I've found its the plus and negative usually reversed on European hookups
