Snow Updates

Snowing in the Belfast area at present with about 1cm on the ground. Looking at the weather patterns and temperatures for the next five days it's likely we'll have snow on the ground on and off until at least Friday.

If we keep updates here where the snow is then those out and about can maybe get reasonably up to date travelling information.

No snow in leitrim except on the mountain tops, but a good amount in south Fermanagh, south of Enniskillen. Roads clear and dry though.

Sitting listening to Country Music on Downtown Radio because my wife and 2 grandchildren cannot get their flight home from Stobbard Airport at Southend with snow. At least I have nobody telling me to turn the radio down. :D

I was in Donegal all weekend and apart from Friday night there was no snow, even the mamore gap was clear (apart from the fields) and coming back over the glen Shane pass it again was clear and not snowing. And before anyone asks I was not in the motorhome, I was having a nice hotel break for my birthday.

Hi Fat Controller. You passed by my house approx 2 minutes from your beaten track that is if you used the new Foyle Bridge and used the Crescent Link Road towards the Main Belfast/Lderry Road. Hope you had a good weekend.

That's the way I went, spent the weekend at the innishowen gateway, shopping in the maiden city on Saturday and bumbling around mamore gap, clonmanny, ballyliffen, malin, culdaff to moville then towards home. Spent the time visiting our usual haunts while looking for places to park the motorhome.

This applies to all Craicers.

Band of moderate snow moving from the Newtownards area towards Belfast slowly. Just starting to fall in the Belfast area now at 22.57 - 21.1.12 and it's lying.
