No need to spend £300 on heater element's from Truma . These on ebay for half the price are equally as good and half a mm thiner diameter which makes them a lot easier fitted. Originals were hard to pull out in a 2019 van.

Was it limescale or something else that did the damage?

It's a Rollerteam hire van the heater kept tripping but the new elements cured the problem. No limescale as there not in water. They pass through the aluminium finns inside the heating unit. A bit hard to pull out but the new ones slid in easy.

As a hire vehicle with a different driver each week nobody took note of the fault code and most wouldn't have known to look for it.
