Damage from road debris. M1 Dublin.

Folks, I shipped some damage last night close to the M1 Lusk services. There was edge cutting ongoing and the muppets had bits of branches on the live carriageway.

One piece hopped off the bottom of the van cracked my grey drain valve, I only noticed the damage this am when getting ready to leave my overnight stop and saw a trail of water coming from the van 😳

Any way of finding out who is responsible for the edge maintenance? It may be futile, but I’d like to have a go at getting the cost of the repair off them.
Google hasn’t been any help to me.

More trouble than its worth, you'd never prove they did the damage IMO

Probably. I’d still like to have a go at them and maybe prevent similar for someone else.

First report it to the Gards and show them the damage, as the operation is /was a danger to the public, and then ask them who is the responsible agency,and get a copy of the pulse details of your complaint.

The National Roads Authority
They are in charge of maintenance.
