STOP!

Hi and Happy 2022 to all! Went for a spin with the plan to swim today but Wild Atlantic Way was too wild so sat it out. I did get a blast from the recent past when E-control screen read STOP! E-control over-heated! What causes this and has it anything to do with the fact that I had fridge set to max? The manual refers to it but doesn't expand and explain it. Also...I'm like a donkey looking into a ditch when it comes to electrics so please forgive the next question if it is absolutely ridiculous!! Must the E-control be on or off when driving? I've had it off in general but sometimes when we got van initially I drove with it on and an alarm sounded. That's how I suspect I should have if off (clever!) I suppose if we had bought the van from new the supplier would have referred to this and can find no references on Google/www either. And I'm also curious as to why it must be off....Thanks in advance to anyone who shares/comments/scoffs etc etc

OK not direct help for your problem.
Google. Burstner E-control and you will find a lot of comment about this controller ( none of it good) it would appear if you drive with the fridge on full for long periods, the circuit board is not up to the job,( poor quality)
And costly to repair or upgrade.
I would question why you have the fridge on max in the first place when driving. Fridges work best around the middle of their range, it's only when you add stuff, or stand looking in, with the door open, that they have to work hard, to return to the set temperature,
Good practice would be to plug into EHU, on med/heigh, the day before you leave, cool /freeze everything
in the house first, that you want to bring, load quickly, also on the road shopping, use a cool bag and buy from the cool cabinets,
A domistic repair man, once told me, with a wink in his eye, that a fridge would work for ever, if the light didn't came on, 🤔

Hiya, the reason for fridge on high was human error so won't be making that mistake again and in the same vein I used to work in the sector where a colleague once said..''children would be great if they didn't have parents!!'' Thanks for reply man! ;-)

If is it still working ok now, mind it because some of the reports say between £400 and £700 for a repair upgrade, or a replacement and not easy to source.
