Kevin, I got the stripes on the trailer to match the van as you have noticed. I would have loved a grey trailer to fully match the van but it was going to cost me another £1800.

It does a great job tying the two together.

Michelinman I knew deep down you would be envious when you saw a real motorhome an Adria. You have to agree that an Autotrail would not look as good towing that trailer! lol

Yes Jack I have to admit it looks a lovely outfit although I think my big Bessie would also look good pulling your trailer and I nearly forgot its the same colour as my Motorhome lol.
Robbie wish I could convince my wife of that. But I agree and it would be much more convenient. Trying to tell her that she would have no house work cleaning etc to do. So far have not succeeded.

Yea Jack. Bessie would have no bother pulling that trailer !!!! so long as its empty . I could always make believe there was a car in there with the photo on the trailer lol
We are very pleased with it Mark. We bought it new 2 years ago and it's the best we have had. Although we had 5 others we never felt they met our needs like the way this one does. It's on a Renault chassis like yours and has been very reliable.
Mark the only problem with the Sonic is not the part that Adria builds as its very good but the Fiat part of it. I had 2 Fiats and never again as they are so unreliable. I think Adria would have been better to have built the Sonic on Renault. Nevertheless they are a beautiful van but quite costly.
I'm with you on that one Mark, freinds who have Fiat based vehicles are definately using a lot more fuel than the Knaus. The problem now is who is using a Renault chasis on their motorhomes should the time (read lottery numbers) come to change.

Not that I'm thinking of changing but I certainly would not buy a Fiat based Motorhome. I heard somewhere that Swift are going to build on the new Renault next year. It will be interesting to see if the rumour is true or not. Anyway I love both the Renault part and the Adria part of mine and can't nudist and why Adria built he Sonic on a Fiat.

Nice one Jack, very impressive and I"m sure it "raises some pulses" when you arrive on site. I"ve fancied a 2cv or a Diane as a toad myself, certainly light enough, and I have fond memories of a couple of Dianes my mother drove when I was a kid.

Fat controller trust you to see a mistake!! It's this blessed spell checker on my iPad and now I can't get in to edit it so when you read it again close your eyes at that point.

Paul a super wee car and yes especially in France when I take it out of the trailer there's always lots of spectators. As a result of the car I've improved my French beyond recognition. I've just bought a Mehari in Bordeaux and I hope to get it home soon. If you're ever up Antrim way let me know and call, and see her.
Interesting to read about economy difference. There don't seem to be many Renault based motorhomes about

Well done Jack, a Mehari...! Now that"s a wierd and wonderful creature, bit like a Mini Moke aren"t they but based on a 2cv and made of plastic ? There certainly won"t be many of those in NI. As I said, I reckon a 2cv would be a great A frame car; simple, light and roomy with a ragtop, all the car you need in a good climate. I"m sure you have great use of yours in France and there"s nothing like speaking the language, the locals love it and it really adds another dimension to your travels. There"s nothing "breaks the ice" on a site than having something unusual, as we"ve found with our RV.

There are not too many new ones as the manufacturers seem to have all gone to fiat/peugeot, but if you search around there are some based on the renault chasis. Looking at some this years new releases, hobby and if I remember correctly Adria have now some new ones using renault.

It's a pity not many manufacturers build on the Renault base. I think Adria have realised the mistake they've made and I believe you will see the building more models on the Renault chassis. Who knows the Sonic may yet appear on a Renault. Their service and backup is much better than Fiat and I've had excellent service from Shelbourne Motors in Portadown.
