Hi,
My diesel air heater (Chinese type) packed in. I couldn't get anyone local to fix it so I got a replacement as they are fairly cheap however I'm looking for someone to fit it. I'm in Tralee and have tried various people in Kerry and West Limerick with no joy. Does anyone know of a good contact in the Munster area or even further afield?

As its a like for like swop, any competent, mechanic should be able to do it, is there a truck center near you, one who services tractor units, most of them have night heaters of the same type.

The heater is only held on by 4 bolts and a push in connector is so easy to remove and replace a ten mm spaner and a screwdriver is all you need 👍it should only take someone with a small amount of knowledge about 20 min to change it over the existing wiring and controller should be compatible as should the pump so there’s no need to start pulling wires through so if anyone tell you that’s it’s going to take a days work at €40 per hour tell them to get stuffed go on YouTube a watch people putting them into there vans or if you have a friend who’s handy with a spanner ask them to take it out for you

Thanks for your suggestions. I've tried a few local mechanics / auto electricians but they were a bit scared of the van with all its electrics! I'm not sure if its the electrics or the actual heater. I contacted Derek Walsh previously but he wouldn't touch it. I'll try find a truck centre or the contacts that have been provided above.

The only wiring is a live and earth to the bat all the other wiring is to the controller and the heater as I’ve said there just push on connectors the loom going to the heater is a split loom one connector to the heater one to the pump you can’t even get these mixed up the other two connections are one to the controller and the other to the battery
