Reminds me of years ago when working on a building site the foreman went up to the village shop and came back bragging about stealing a fruit loaf.
Someone asked how he was going to cut it. Well he took at it with a con saw and when he stopped there was nothing left to eat!😂
He was as mad as a box of frogs tho but we had a laugh

Here is one for you all.
When i was an apprentice one day we were working at a house and the owner was a van driver for
a local sausage factory.
It was a cold winter morning and nearing our 10 oclock tea break when Ernie the labourer came in and asked me to come outside and give him a hand.
The owner had gave him a packet of sausages and Ernie had lit a fire of wood outside, he proceeded to hand me the very well cleaned longtail shovel and instructed me to hold it over the fire.
Ernie cooked the sausages and we had a lovely 10 oclock tea. :D

How about a Truckers dinner,
A lamb Hock or a piece of Rib Stake, with a few onions, wrapped in 3 or4 layers of tinfoil, cooked on the exhaust manifold of the Bedford, with a Baat of bread, and a glass bottle of milk. 🍞🥛👌

Used to do this regularly at the vintage steam threshing shows, cooking on the fire in the steam engine

When I worked on plant machinery I used to wrap up spuds in foil and put them on the manifold. I also put a tin of beans in the exhaust stack to warm up and after 30/40 minutes it made a lovely lunch.

I did have one issue with the tin once where after some vigarous digging the can litterally exploaded in the exhaust stack and shot scalding beans in a 30 metre radious including stalling the engine. That took some explaining to the boss.
