Kilbroney Park, Rostrevor Offers Longer Season

Newry and Mourne District Council (NMDC) have recently announced extended opening times for their camping and caravan park in Rostrevor, County Down.

The popular camping and caravan site has been operating for over 20 years. With on site shower and toilet facilities, Play Park and two tennis courts it's easy to see why Kilbroney Park rivals other sites in the area such as Cranfield and Tollymore. That’s not to mention some of the best walking and cycling trails in Ireland.

The extended season will run from Friday 1st of March through to Monday 4th November 2013. The decision follows the building of over 30km purpose built mountain bike trails in Rostrevor. The cycle trails will suit both the beginner and experienced cyclist.

To book your stay in kilbroney Camping and Caravan Park please use the following contact information:

Phone: 028 41738134
Email: Kilbroneypark@newryandmourne.gov.uk
Website: http://www.newryandmourne.gov.uk

Bookings can be made from the 8th of January by phone, online or in person.

If you want us to cover anything regarding the Mournes or maybe we've missed something? Please get in touch: info@enjoythemournes.com.

Has anyone used the touring in the trees section at Kilbroney recently? Haven't stayed there before. Was thinking I might try it.

Xandra,

We're are not members of tourning in the trees, but we did check out a few of the sites, and i must say the site in Kilbroney is by far the best. It is like all of them, set back from the main site and has no electric so very dark at night, but it is only a 3-4 minute walk to the toilets, and the 24 hour security is based outside the toilets. Great spot.
