yes folks its down again,it didnt just break it shattered,mechanic said he had never seen it before,but to be fair its the original 1,
any help greatly appreciateted,thanks guys!

Ok so I’ve done a bit more digging on the Talbot forum and there are two vans scrapped in a yard between Ennis and Quin beside O’Keefe Electrical shop but they may be Fiats and I don’t know if they would be compatible.

Anyone live near here could check it out for Peter?

I’ve also messaged Mike Chubb at No 1 Gear
and Simon at Custom campers and am awaiting a reply.

One will turn up lads if we keep digging

im not sure what they are called but the 2 pieces sticking out numbered 1 in the pic above have sheered right off and are in bits,i showed jjf on a video call earlier when i was up in the garage so he might be able to explain it better,thanks for the reply

If a replacement can't be got, Its not rocket science to make and weld on new leaver arms, once you have the old bits, to get the location on the crossbar and the distance out to where they in-gauge the release bearing.
It looks very similar to the one in all the old VW vans and beetles, I have re-manuafactored then several times in the Trials Cars.

He can have it Friday morning and he says it’s in good condition which I would vouch for as he is a very reputable gearbox man.
Now the price!
He will post to me in Telford all in for £50 but won’t post to Ireland as he says there is too much paperwork and did it last month and got burnt.
Let me know if interested and then someone can maybe advise on the best way to get it across the sheugh!

Ok I rang Mike Chubb just now as opposed to texting, what a lovely guy.
Anyway he has agreed to post to N Ireland first class so a little more expensive but quicker so I’ve just paid him £55 online and as he is away he will dispatch it tomorrow morning to @JJF

He explained that he had tried to post something to the South last month and it bounced 3 times at £32 a time, ouch!
